Each tour requires its own equipment to bring depending on the destination and the season. Below is the description of each individual equipment required for this tour:
Hiking shoes. The most important equipment you should have. The choice of tour also depends on the shoes you have. Sports shoes may be fine, but in this case we may have less choice of itineraries. Hiking shoes (low or ankle-high) are the best. If you are not sure about the shoes you have, you can send us a photo and we will tell you if they are suitable or not.
Backpack. It is advisable to have a small backpack to carry everything you need during the one-day excursions. For multi-day tours we require a proper hiking backpack of about 35/50 liters. If you don't have a backpack, ask us to bring one of ours for free.
Jacket. You need a lightweight jacket, preferably waterproof. The weather can change during the day and we do not want our guests to get wet or cold! An appropriate warm and waterproof technical jacket is required for multi-day tours.
Hiking poles. If you are used to hiking with poles, bring them! If you do not have them, tell us in advance to bring ours for free.
Snow/ice hiking gear. (snowshoe or micro crampons) and hiking Poles are required and always included for our winter tours on the snow.
Sunglasses and sunscreen. Always recommended because coming home as red as a tomato is neither nice nor good for you and your eyes.
Water and snack. At least 1/2 liter water per person, but 1 liter is better, more would be too heavy to carry. For snacks, it's up to you, we may have lunch at a nice 'rifugio' (mountain restaurant). Please have a hearty breakfast.
Gloves and beanie. Mandatory for winter hiking. In summer, for multi-day tours they might be useful in case of bad weather.
Warm clothes and warm socks. Winter clothing and heavy socks are highly recommended for winter tours.
